The later TR3s, known as the TR3A, had exterior door handles, which was certainly a worthy upgrade, and they certainl. This 1963 TR3, for instance, has a gorgeous look that's reminiscent of a Jaguar XK120, a burly 4-cylinder engine, and a very reasonable price tag for all that classic British fun

1960 triumph tr3 - houston, txpower sellerhouston, tx 77008ph: 6507612981web: www. Alautotx. Comoptions:description:i am selling my 1960 triumph tr-3 roadster as i am moving to a new hobby. My hobby of collector cars will not fit in this lifestyle so the sale begins. I sold one yesterday and this is #2. I purchased this car from the 2nd owner many years ago and originally planned to drive it as is. However, after a short time i decided that this car was too nice not to preserve, so i completed a total frame off. I replaced the carpet and the rear seat as well as all the soft parts described. Other than that, the interior is original. This will support the documented mileage for any observer. The pictures tell the story better than words, but i will answer any questions. The engine remains original. Things like clutch, to brg and pressure plate were replaced. Total brake job, seals, body mounts, grommets, fuel system overhaul and too many other things to cover here, but i have a complete log of the restoration for the new owner. This is a great running and driving car. It goes down the road a highway speeds nicely with the very affective overdrive transmission. This is the " most fun" english sports car i have owned. It is very spirited and sounds super with the stainless steel exhaust. .

British sports cars were the backbone of early scca competition and cars like this 1959 triumph tr3 were the ideal combination of practical fun. With a nice restoration, great colors, and a classic roadster look, this triumph gets everything right. Actually, tr3s are rather rare and have seen substantial gains in value over the past few years as people discover the fun of the low-slung two-seaters. It's unlikely that any triumph coming out of england in the 1950s was this nice, suggesting that there's a great deal of time and money invested in the final result. The handsomely appointed black leather interior is stylish while maintaining its sense of minimalism. The banjo-style steering wheel is big enough to really lever the steering around sweeping corners and the steering position is actually quite good. Big, round smiths gauges are distinctly british and eminently functional and it looks as though there's nothing in this car that doesn't help it work better. Given the car's featherweight bodywork, the 2331 cc inline-4 is plenty gutsy to make an entertaining drive. No, it's not terrifyingly fast, but the old adage of "it's more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow" certainly applies here. It never puts a tire wrong and the front disc brakes are reassuringly powerful. Hoses, clamps, and other little bits are quite correct, so it looks right from any angle. The aforementioned 4-speed has great ratios for spirited driving and the exhaust system has the right baritone bellow that signifies british performance.
The engine does turn over freely we did not attempt to get running. Collins Brothers takes pride in the restoration of older Jeep vehicles.. Same AZ owner since1974 last registered and driven in 1979. Sun baked but not rusty
