The 383 v8 was running, but it has been sitting for about 2 years. The floorboards are solid and the interior is all there, but needs to be reworked. Dash is in bad shape. We have a good dash piece and console along with some of the interior parts needed. Everything is pretty much there and just needs a lot of love. Good clean and solid with very little rust. From the unsung muscle cars comes this fairly awesome 1966 dodge polara. That's original sheetmetal and it's very straight, suggesting that this car has led a pretty clean life. That's not the original color, but the light yellow looks clean and fresh and unlike the usual '60s hues, it seems to have aged rather well. It's subtle and sophisticated, perfect for an unusual car like this polara, and seems to enhance the nicely tailored sheetmetal. The chrome and stainless trim is also original and quite remarkably preserved, especially the side trim with the red insert, and the black vinyl top looks fantastic with the tinted windows. Yes, we could pick a few nits, but quite honestly, there isn't much to fault on this chiseled dodge. The contrasting black interior is simply too nice to be original, showing only light signs of wear and no issues. From the bench seat to the door panels, it's very oem and even the carpets are in really good shape. I know a bench isn't as exciting as buckets, but in this car, it seems to work better, particularly with the cool instrument panel with twin pods full of gauges to monitor the big block up front. A handsome steering wheel with horn ring provides fingertip control of the steering and it includes factory a/c that blows cold thanks to an r134a refrigerant upgrade. Now, with a freshly rebuilt 383 cubic inch v8 under the hood, this polara is smooth and effortless in everything it does. It's one of chrysler's most durable engines and performance is extremely entertaining. Thanks to the fresh rebuild with only break-in miles on it, it's really clean, but the condition of the inner fenders and firewall speaks volumes about the easy life this car has led. A 727 torqueflite 3-speed automatic transmission doesn't seem to mind munching on all that torque, and with highway-friendly gears in the 8. 75-inch rear, it seems that. Air Conditioning

For fans of the unusual, this 1966 dodge charger is a fantastic find. The charger was chrysler's early efforts to combat the mustang's screaming success, and the fastback body style suggests speed and power, with a decidedly futuristic look. Proportions are quite pleasing to the eye, with a progressive enlargement of the rear quarters, giving the impression of powerful rear haunches. There are a few signs of use and age and they didn't over-restore it, so it's still got a good, honest look with nothing to hide. All the dramatic body creases are sharply rendered, thanks to some expert bodywork, and there's a subtlety to the car that the later models seem to lack. Up front, the electric shaver grille is finely detailed, the bumpers are in decent shape, and there's just no mistaking that full-width rear taillight, all themes that would return to the charger a few years later. According to the fender tag, the bucket seats and center console are original equipment, and the upholstery just might be original, although it's so nice that it's hard to believe. The slick red seats with matching carpets and dash are the perfect complement to the white exterior, creating a very upscale piece of mopar muscle. The rear seats flank their own console, which makes the charger especially cool, and with that big rear window, the cargo bay is positively cavernous. The 361 cubic inch v8 put in its final appearance in the 1966 charger before being upgraded to the 383 that we all know and love, and was rated at a stout 265 horsepower. We suspect this is a very old engine swap, since it doesn't appear to be the car's original engine, but it was surely done a long time ago. Dressed in traces of mopar turquoise paint, the commando v8 runs well with a solid whack of low-end torque. Upgraded with an edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, along with a chrome air cleaner, it's a bit flashier than it was originally, but nobody will mind after they see how incredibly tidy this car truly is. The engine delivers big torque and effortless acceleration with that characteristic chrysler rumble compliments of a flowmaster dual exhaust system. The original wheels and hubcaps wea.
