The bike performed excellent and the only maintenance I did on the entire trip was lube the drive chain. No mechanical problems and the oil lever only went dow 1/2" the entire 2,100 miles we rode.. If you are going on a 2,000 mile ride on a vintage British bike a Norton Interstate with its large 5 Gallon gas tank and rubber mounted motor is the only way to go
