Seller's Comments and Description: This 2000 Kawasaki W650 has been meticulously maintained over the past 13 years. Even though it's a 2000 model it wasn't put into service until March of 2003 according to service records. All scheduled oil changes have been done using Mobil 1 15-50 synthetic oil exclusively. The previous owner had stopped riding it regularly in February of 2006. At that time it had just over 18,000 miles. I acquired this motorcycle in April of 2008; it had 19,025 miles, had a dead battery and had not run in over 1 year. Work performed: Installed new battery Remove and clean carbs New spark plugs New air filters New chain Change oil and filter Paint gas tank (didn't like the silver and blue) At that point it was ready for the road again ! November 2008 at 21,377 miles Change oil and filter Replace spark plugs Replace front brake pads Rebuilt fuel valve March 2009 at 23,097 miles Change oil and filter Clean, lube, and adjust chain From then until May of 2015 it had accumulated just over 2,500 miles and at that time it would not start due to a a dead battery ! It set until Nov last year when I decided to get it going again. Remove and rebuild carbs Replace spark plugs Change oil and filter Rebuild fuel valve Replace coil Replace turn indicators with smaller aftermarket units (the rubber mounts on the originals had expired and were falling off) Rebuilt front brake caliper Replace brake pads Replace tires, tubes and rim strips (Dunlop K70's 4.00x18 and 3.25x19 for the vintage look) It comes with a complete Kawasaki tool kit in very nice condition and owners manual that are both located under the locking seat. The seat has also been upgraded to the better looking and more comfortable 2001 style saddle. The transmission shifts smoothly through all 5 gears and is equipped with a neutral finder that also works great. The brakes work as they should without any issues. This was a new addition to kawasaki's millennium line-up that was reminiscent of the styling and technological design features of the kawasaki w1 and w1sa parallel twin-cylinder motorcycles of the late 60s and early 70s."i am the owner of urban motorsports in austin texas. We have been open for 10+ years and this is one of my personal vehicles. The wife says she wants to park in the garage again so some of my bikes gotta go. This one was purchased from the original owner who absolutely babied it. Since purchased i have kept it in a climate controlled garage and it hasn't ever seen rain or snow... This is a great and super clean bike. It starts and runs like a top and is a pure joy to ride. It is up to date on everything, has clean oil and is ready to go. Has plenty of life left in it with only 10555 miles. All service and maintenance done meticulously and a well maintained ride all around.
