I received the bike in non running condition because of a faulty fuel tank (rust holes). An OEM '83 KZxxxxR fuel tank was sourced, as well as a petcock. Engine sounds great like a xxxx mile bike should. Upon purchase I went about getting the bike into running condition

I have checked the carburetor float levels, put a re-built kit in the petcock, replaced the VERY spongy front brake lines with steel braided ones (I would rather be able to stop than be concerned about the hoses being non-stock), bled all the brakes, replaced the spark plugs, and put a Barnett clutch in it

The tank is dent free but does have a few tiny chips in the paint and has rub wear on the back but the seat covers it. The frame is rust free and straight. This bike is mostly original even the paint except it has a new regulator/rectifier, coils, new gel battery, and the seat cover has been replaced

I had planned to drive the bike 30 or 40 miles but it runs so well and is so much fun to drive I just kept driving. The bike has 6345 original miles and is in like new condition. The bike is great to drive or would be great in a museum
