With the 914-6's becoming further from reach in price, thelimited edition 914-4's and 1976 models are second only to the 6 in collectability and bring some of the highestprices to date (and climbing). The 1976 models in particular are very valuable because they were the last of thebreed, being the last and least produced of all the 4-cylinder 914's, and they had all of the factory improvementsdeveloped by porsche over the years of 914 testing and production. No 1976 model was ever made in the year 1976,with the last 914 ever built in december of 1975. This particular specimen is a november 1975 production car(11/75), and one of the last 914's ever built. The car came with two options from the factory: tinted glass andcenter seat cushion (see full list below and window sticker in pictures above). This 914 certainly qualifies as one of the most collectible and if kept in current condition, will skyrocket invalue in the future. One of the best colors ever offered by porsche (l97b), and with only 53,413 miles, this carshows those miles extremely well with an impeccable interior and body, totally original engine compartment, andimmaculate front and rear trunks. In addition, the spare is the factory original that has never hit the ground. Thick of service records, originaldelivery materials, ziebart rustproof materials, and much more (please review all pics at the bottom of listing). The previous owners even kept the three sets of points, distributor cap, original condenser, as well as theoriginal rotors over the years! (unfortunately, we did not receive these items, so they do not come with the car). The body is absolutely rust free, and its rare original anacona blue paint is in superb condition. The car has beencarefully maintained since new with only 53,413 original miles on the clock (documented). We have only put 400 orso extremely enjoyable miles on her. Due to collectibility and miles being an obvious issue, we have stoppeddriving the car on a regular basis, although it is on a trickle charger and is started regularly and taken aroundthe block just to keep the fluids flowing properly. This was the last year of the breed and full of the latest refinements. They are the most valuable of all the 914-4 modelswith the exception of the limited edition models. This car's engine is very powerfuland runs great. Original engine and transmission, engine has great compression and transmission is perfectly smooth. This 914 handles great, and the underside is immaculate. A great collectable!

Car has 140k miles, but the 3. 0 engine only has 48k miles. Anyone who knows these cars is very aware that the 2. 7l engine is very shaky. This car has a 3. 0l engine and is very strong. Swapping the 2. 7 with a 3. 0 is very common with these cars. This car has new clutch, brakes, brake lines, rotors front and rear, the shocks are a year old and new seat covers. Everything works as it should and the targa top is like new. We do have the original targa that comes with this car but we also have a fiber glass hard top. Over all this is a very clean and fun car.

There are a few other items or "defects" on the exterior of the car that are noted here below:1) the car had stick-on side molding and negative side stripes installed early on in its life (these both havesince been removed (the car when sold new or shortly thereafter received a "protective" amount of body sidemolding, which was very popular back then prior to paintless dent removal. Because of time and the nature ofadhesives back then, there is slight etching where the molding once was. We have not tried wet sanding or anythingof that nature in fear of tampering with the car's original exterior. It is not at all a detractor to the car andis barely noticeable but needs disclosure. 2) the car had a front bra during its early life. There are very small water spots (white in color) on the frontbonnet from the condensation underneath. This is also an area that wet sanding or another procedure could possiblywork fine. We have decided to keep the car as original as possible and since it's hardly noticeable, we decided notto pursue any paint ot body work whatsoever. The paint is so good on the car, we have been told it should never,ever be painted on, so we have heeded respected advice here. Mechanicalthe car starts instantly, and runs and drives excellently. Clutch and transmission shifts smoothly andeffortlessly. Mechanically, she's just as nice. Serviced all the way by auto atlanta, and was in the owner'spersonal collection. The steering wheels is original and crack free and the interior has been meticulouslymaintained. No cracks in the dash, no tears, rips or splits in the seats. Good luck and happybidding!!!!!
