Comoptions:description:1963 chrysler crown 925 imperial convertible 67,660 original miles this one time beauty was in nice original condition until stored with an unethical person. (paid for garage storage, but, was left out in the elements.) 2nd owner - purchased in 1967. Extremely rare - only 531 produced. White body, black convertible top, red interior. Excellent running condition. 413 engine. Radio does not work (original). Needs new top and interior need to be replaced. Car sports an oval steering wheel, push button transmission.

Comoptions:description:the vehicle is titled, registered and insured and i take it out for a drive when the weather is nice. It is presently garaged and was garaged when i purchased it from the previous owner who owned it for 10 years. He enjoyed taking it out to the local car show this car does not need a lot of work to make it a nice weekend cruiser. The two big items it does needs is a new convertible top, and carpeting, which i have. I bought the best top and carpet i could find spending in excess of 1000 dollars for the pair. These items must still be installed. The convertible top mechanism is in working order and needs no service. This and the few other parts i have purchased are included in the price. This vehicle is registered and can be driven home. Due to family issues i no longer have time to work on it. It sadly must be sold.. Some cool things about the car. This was the final year for the imperial platform that was first created in 1957 and the last one to come with a full frame. The imperial still used the wrap-around windshield that had been dropped by most other makes. The 1966 model year saw a change to an egg-crate grille. The glass headlight covers lost the etched lines but gained twin 24k gold bands around the perimeter. The claro walnut trim that had been introduced the previous year was used more extensively and would be replaced the following year. The 413 cu in (6. 8 l) engine that had been standard since 1959 was replaced with a 350 hp (261 kw; 355 ps) 440 cu in (7. 2 l) engine. Imperial was the basis for the "the black beauty," on the tv series the green hornet, starring van williams and bruce lee. A black imperial of this year would also be restored as a wedding anniversary gift for richard "the old man" harrison on the history channel show, pawn stars.

Very exciting space-age design, said to be one of virgil exner's most outstanding and acclaimed designs of all time. Amazing 99% rust free solid a/c car throughout, including solid cabin floors, trunk floor and solid undercarriage. Always garaged and cared for. Excellent original motor, starts every time and runs very strong and smoothly. Engine compartment is correct, original and complete. Recent new dual exhaust system installed. Imperial's push-button automatic torqueflite transmission. Loaded with options and features rare factory air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power antenna, and working 6-way power seat. Leather and cloth interior, all original with front seating area showing wear. Will need new headliner. All of the original tinted glass is excellent. Outstanding finish & trim - the original chrome is of a very high grade, and remains very brilliant. The original factory quality fit and finish on this imperial remains undisturbed and is excellent on all parts, including both side doors, trunk lid etc, all are properly aligned, and open and shut flawlessly. There's a respray at some point in its history, but it was a while ago, so the car has a very comfortable and authentic look that should be left just as it is. The styling is very reminiscent of the mighty 300, to which this car is directly related, and the proportions disguise its mass, because this is a very big car indeed (at just over 19 feet long, it held the record for largest non-limousine sedan until the 1970s). It wouldn't be a '50s car without plenty of chrome trim, and this one dazzles with lots of jewelry, from the heavy bumpers to the twin grilles to the taillights perched on top of the rear quarters, a styling cue that would last into the '60s. The trunk ornament is an eagle, another design element that would endure for years to come, and there's simply no angle from which this car doesn't look awesome. The two-tone black and pink interior is simply stunning. It's original, so it's a little faded and shows some minor wear, but there's just nothing cooler than the patterned brocade cloth that was endemic to high-end cars in the '50s. Sporty round gauges in a sculpted instrument panel look fantastic and it's loaded with options like working factory a/c, power windows, and power steering spelled out right on the horn button. Yes, it's got a hemi, a 354 cubic inch version to be exact. Under that late-model air cleaner there's an edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, installed to help drivability as much as horsepower, and this sucker is strong! With a modern a/c compressor, it looks a little different than it would have in 1956, but things like the generator, radiator, and heating system all have their traditional '50s look. It has a muscular sound exhaling through a recent dual exhaust system and the 2-speed power flite automatic transmission is just fine given the torque that's on tap. The undercarriage is original, so don't expect perfection, but we see no major signs of trouble and plenty of recent work, including fresh shocks.
