Theesprit’s timeless lines, amazing delivery of speed and performance make it an amazing collector car. It's notoften that one comes through the doors of flat 12 gallery, as not many were produced or kept to the standards thatwe require. We were lucky enough to find this example in southern california and are able to offer it for sale tothe public. We believe that lotus esprits are quite the gem in both the performance department and upcomingcollectability, like we have seen with ferrari’s and porsches of late. Lotus was careful in keeping the esprit production numbers low, with lifelong limited production numbers for allesprits shipped worldwide from 1976 to 2004 coming in at 10,675 total units. Although productionnumbers varied over the years, this 1998 lotus featured here is one of only 301 were build that year with only 142v8’s, 99 being v8gt's and 60 being gt3’s. So in true super car fashion they are an elitist, limited productionsuper car. This 1998 b03 calypso red lotus with magnolia interior esprit 3. 5l twin turbo v8 is an amazing example of the lotusvehicle. It has been well cared for with tatesful upgrades added to give it that timeless exotic sports carappeal. The paint, finish and interioron this epsrit will not disappoint, as it is apparent that the previous owners of this car wanted a top notch ridethat didn't show its age. This example has two signatures on the inner fender one we have concluded is roger g. It was also photographed for an upcoming magazine feature and a sample photo has been placed at the end of thephotos. The b03 calypso red paint is extremely fresh with some rock chips present but with an overall thick fresh paintvibe. There are some scraps to the black lower valance on the front bumper from use and a few touched up rockchips. The interior shows extremely well and appears original with onlysome minor wearing to the boldest of the drivers seat. Normal leather creases are visible and are appreciated overa spray dyed look. The carpets, door panels, dash, gauges, shifter, etc are all in excellent condition. I have been around quite a few esprits and many have issues with the seat leather shrinking and the paint vibrancyand often times they appear like a 90’s car. This esprit looks like a modern supercar with its glossy redexterior, tasteful upgrades, custom black nicely staggered forgestar performance wheels 18" in the front and 19" inthe rear wheels that are wrapped in nicely treaded 225 40r18 and 305 30r19 potenza tires. It is finished with acolor matched removable sunroof. I do want to remind the taller drivers that this model will house someone up toabout 6'5" unlike the older versions. Powered by 3. 5l v8 twin turno with 5 speed transmission, leather seats, power windows, locks and mirriors with colda/c and mp3 adaptable alpine stereo. This really is a respectable example of the lotus sports car that graced thescenes of so many iconic mov details conditionmodelyearcolor used esprit 1998 red contact seller. I have owned this car for the last 8 years and it has been a great car but it is time for me to let it go. I bought the car off the forum with around 28k miles with some of the mods on it already. The car was daily driven for the first 3 years and then changed over to a weekend car then over the past 2 years it has been primarily a track car and occasional cars and coffee. I usually get out to the track 4-6 times a year and have over time replaced parts that failed or just were not up to the task with better parts. Most of the nuts and bolts related to the supercharger are wired or pinned then torque painted in place as i had a bolt back out of the alternator and it cost me a track weekend. The suspension bolts also have torque paint for a quick reference to make sure nothing has backed out or loosened. The car could be driven on the street (not california friendly) and is occasionally for club drives or shows but it is mostly taken to the track. Fluids are changed every other event and all bolts are quick checked for torque or damage. Paint is pretty clean; it had a full polish last year with an application of c-quartz ceramic coating. The side sill clear bra was replaced about 4 years ago when the side sills went on and are in good condition with minor abrasions. The front still has the original star shield it shows a few chips but the paint underneath is mostly defect free. The driver’s door has a small chip that has been filled but is not really noticeable from 5 ft. I believe everything is sorted on this car and it can keep up with pretty much anything on track. I have way more money and time into this car than i could ever get out but i believe my price is fair. I am sure i have missed some parts but i have hit the highlights for sure. I also have a bunch of spare parts and some of the stuff removed off of the car like carpets, fog lights and other parts i have not had time to install that will come with the car. 2011 Lotus Evora in excellent condition in and out. Rides and drives with no known mechanical nor electrical problems. Test drives sand showings are by appointment. It’s massively larger than the Elise—21.9 inches longer, with a 10.9-inch stretch in the wheelbase—which puts it on par with other sports cars such as the Porsche 911 and Cayman. The Evora is roughly five inches shorter than the 911 but still manages to squeeze in similarly sized (i. e., tiny) back seats that are designed to fit very small adults or children up to about 10 years old. It also has a narrower doorsill and a 2.5-inch-higher seating position, making it far easier to get into and out of, which is one of the Elise’s setbacks. Two six-foot-plus males can sit in comfort without their shoulders touching, which is inevitable in an Elise. In fact, this six-foot-five driver didn’t even have to put the front seat back all the way to get comfortable. Back seat or not, the Evora is still very much a Lotus in the driver-thrills department. As with the company’s other cars, the steering is absolutely brilliant. The Evora has hydraulic power assist as opposed to the unassisted racks of other Lotuses, but the magic still comes through. In fact, the Lotus guys are so fanatical about steering feel that the Evora has a magnesium steering wheel in order to reduce weight—and therefore inertia—so the driver is informed of every last road nuance. The weighting is perfect, and the constant subtle feedback that comes through the thin, flat-bottom wheel is superb without making the car feel nervous or twitchy. More Than Just PowerThe Evora is planted and secure, yet it picks apart corners with a light and playful feel that always makes mid-engine cars feel so special—think Ferrari F430, only with better steering. Braking is similarly spectacular, with immediate bite and extremely linear behavior. Despite weighing about 100 fewer pounds than a 911, the Evora wears 13.8-inch front brakes that are larger than the Porsche’s. Lotus says they’ve been designed to easily shrug off track use.
